This time I worked on a forest mystery image and than I used my own handmade papers to design🥰 it was tempting to try out new ideas and felt happy just enjoying the creation 😍
I made a special sturdy book box to store three notebooks, adorned with nature-inspired abstract paintings.
These lovely and colourful journals have been a working process of enjoyment and brainstorming that took time and days.
Firstly, I had to make some abstract paintings, think of the colors and play along with them.
Then, I had to think of the designs and materials that I would be using on them. And use some of my handmade papers too.
As you can see, all my journals are one-of-a-kind and created with love, patience and care.
Lastly, I had to think of the inside book design to balance the cover to make them special.
Finally, here you can see how beautiful and colourful journals can make your writings seem worthy and meaningful!

Been busy with new journals and doing some abstract paintings for the covers… you never know how the outcome can give you so many ideas on your final creations!!
This is the latest journal that I really love how the images can make you imagine and think.
Working on colors and doing some experiments on abstract paintings has made me more interested in colors!
I have created couple of journals since last year that I have not posted but will post soon!
Something simple can be just what you are looking for!
I used some of the lovely papers I bought some years ago. The blue one is from Japan. The paper is soft and the patterns are beautiful.
The other paper, I bought in Hong Kong and it’s very easy to work with. So I made them completely different.
Something different for a change!
I enjoy working with different materials as long as I can get them. Some are bought while traveling, some are gifts from friends and some are handmade.
Good materials makes the best creations. But you need to feel them and know them in order to work with them. It can be very challenging. So it is wise to study them before using them because it could be difficult to find them again.
For these leathe journals, I wanted them to be simple but nice to hold them in your palm. A small journal that you can put in your bag or carry along lightly.
When you open the journal, I have some written notes for the writer.
I added some color around the block book to match with the leather.
Writing is personal and fun. You can write on them and one day in the future, it could be fun to read them again!

I love making handmade papers especially using flowers and leaves. For this book, I decided to try with bamboo leaves. They are so exotic and delicate.
And they are so strong like the Japanese proverb ‘The bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists’.
On the pages there are sayings about bamboo leaves. I love to let the person who writes on these pages to find it interesting and to get to know about the bamboo tree and their leaves!
In the middle of the book, I have included a beautiful photo printed. And of course, they are bamboo leaves and the image makes you focus and on the green color of the leaves.
Done! Finally completed this journal after carefully imagining in my mind! Love the bright colors and the contrast with lines. I really enjo...
